Meet Heather Deitchman
A Fresh Voice for Palm Beach Gardens
Heather Deitchman is a dedicated educator, community advocate, and longtime Palm Beach Gardens resident running for Palm Beach Gardens City Council to bring thoughtful leadership, transparency, and a genuine commitment to listening to residents.
With over 20 years as a teacher and more than a decade of experience as a program director, Heather has built a career helping people grow, thrive, and reach their full potential, and she’s ready to do the same for Palm Beach Gardens. In her role as a program director, she learned the importance of strategic planning, relationship building, creative problem-solving, business expansion, and utilizing data to inform decisions. These are the skills she will bring to the council to ensure thoughtful and informed leadership.
In recent years, Heather has been a visible advocate for preserving Plant Drive Park, standing alongside residents to protect its open green space, basketball courts, and beloved skate park. She believes public spaces are the heart of a strong, connected community.
Heather values lifelong learning and civic engagement. She has been a member of the Jane Austen Society of North America for over 20 years and she also serves as the social media manager for The Astronomical Society of the Palm Beaches. She has served for 5+ years and continues to serve as her HOA's Board President. She proudly served as a foster parent for Palm Beach County, providing stability and care to children during critical times in their lives.
Heather isn’t a career politician; she’s your neighbor, your advocate, and someone who truly cares about the future of Palm Beach Gardens. She’s running to bring fresh ideas, greater transparency, and stronger resident participation to the City Council.
“We’re on the right path, but there’s so much more we can do to ensure all voices are heard and all neighborhoods are served.” – Heather Deitchman
