Campaign Update: Staying Informed and Engaged
Running for City Council means more than collecting petitions and donations. It means doing the work to understand how decisions made at every level impact our community.
Over the past few months, I’ve made it a priority to stay informed on both local and state issues that affect Palm Beach Gardens. In August, I attended the Florida Institute for Political Leadership, hosted by the Florida Chamber of Commerce, to learn more about local and state policy from the Chamber’s perspective.
In September, I joined the Palm Beach North Chamber’s Legislative Update Breakfast, where I heard directly from Senators Gayle Harrell and Mack Bernard and Representatives John Snyder, Meg Weinberger, and Jervonte Edmonds about key priorities for our region.
And in October, I participated in a Virtual luncheon with Governor Ron DeSantis, gaining insight into the state’s current direction and initiatives.
While I continue to gather the signatures needed to qualify for the ballot, and I still need your help with that!, I’ve also been focused on learning, listening, and preparing to serve effectively.
Understanding both state and local policy is essential for any city councilmember. Many issues that shape our daily lives, from infrastructure funding to environmental regulations, start at the state level but play out right here in our neighborhoods. I believe it’s important to approach these topics with balance and an open mind, free from partisan agendas, and rooted in what best serves PBG residents.
Thank you for continuing to support this grassroots effort. Your input and your signatures truly make a difference!

"Heather would make an exceptional city council member for Palm Beach Gardens. As a highly educated and thoughtful leader, she brings both intelligence and fairness to every decision she makes. As president of her homeowner's association, Royal Point Manor West, Heather has proven her ability to lead effectively, listen to diverse perspectives, and find balanced solutions. Her dedication, professionalism, and passion for service have earned her the respect of her neighbors and colleagues alike. She is the reason I felt confident purchasing an investment property in her community. The city of Palm Beach Gardens would be incredibly fortunate to have her dedication and leadership on the city council!"
